When melons are plentiful the Paul Rose has been known to sell at three times the price of other varieties. It is from ten days to two weeks earlier than the Osage. Its uniform shape is a great advantage to the shippers, as they'can be placed in oblong baskets as shown in the photograph engrav- ing. The seed we offer of this variety is from the original stock. Those who have not tried this melon will not make a mistake in planting it for early crop. DnrWV FOPn '^^'^^ Melon is commonly I rVJIVL/. Known in the seed trade as it has been very largely improved upon by the Colorado muskmellon growers. Over one thousand car loads of these melons are grown at- tributary to Rocky Ford. Colorado, annually and ship- ped to all large markets in the United States. The uniform size and excellent flavor of this melon has made it popular everywhere. There are two shapes to this melon —oval and round, but the correct shape is oval, slightly ribbed, covered with course netting. Flesh thick, green and very sweet.
