Association Boses are more plentiful than ever this season and of excellent quality, with local stock having the call, as the hot weather caused outside shipments to suffer from the heat. Rose stock can be bought all the way from $1 to $6 per hundred, according to the grade. Carnations are coming in, of fair qual- ity in flower, but with short stems, prices ranging all the way from $1 to $3 per hundred. Asters and gladioli were a glut all week and the price de- pends on how many you can use. Dahlias are selling well when fancy, but there is little demand for common varieties. These are not yet at their height, and if the frost does not catch them early, the crop will be a large one this season. There were a large number of Golden Glow chrysanthemums in the market last week, but the trade did not take kindly to them at $3 and $4 per dozen, and the early varieties have little demand at present. A good supply of tuberose spikes and cosmos is coming in at present. Valley, orchids and lilies are still
