Two F-35B Lightning II fighter jets from the F-35 Integrated Test Force at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland, successfully landed onboard HMS Queen Elizabeth for the first time in late September 2018 for the First of Class Flight Trials (Fixed Wing), laying the foundations for the next 50 years of fixed wing aviation in support of the UK’s Carrier Strike Capability.
