Cygnus constellation. Optical image of the northern constellation of Cygnus the Swan (also known as the Northern Cross). The brighter stars of Cygnus form the shape of a swan, with Gamma Cygnus (upper left) representing its body, Delta Cygnus (upper right) a wing and the double star Beta Cygnus, or Albireo (bottom right corner), its beak. The white band of the Milky Way, our Galaxy, can be seen running through Cygnus.
