Y., is cutting some excellent outdoor valley, which finds ready sale in the local mar- ket. H. J. H. PITTSBURGH, PA. The Market. The market is full of peonies, irises, syringas and many other spring flowers. Business seems to be holding up well. The glut of roses did not last long and there is just about enough coming in to take care of the demand. Carnations and lilies are plentiful. There was some fine outdoor valley last week, but it is done. The wholesalers are cleaning up better than usual at this time of the year and the retailers have had no let- down, many weddings helping to keep business good. Various Notes. Mrs. E. A. Williams had a fine window of cattleyas, about 400 of them being artistically arranged. The window at- tracted a great deal of attention. The A. W. Smith Co. offered cash prizes to high school students for the best street car ad card and received a great number of creditable designs, which made it liard to select the winners.
