The Poet Fujiwara Kiyotada, from the Narikane Version of the Thirty-six Poetic Immortals, second half of the 13th century. Thirty-six poets were selected in the late tenth century as the Poetic Immortals (Sanjurokkasen), and soon thereafter imaginary portraits of them (kasen-e) were made.
