A flintlock rifle, Georg Keiser in Vienna, circa 1730. Heavy octagonal barrel with a slightly reduced diameter in the middle. Seven groove rifled bore in 17 mm calibre. Engraved dovetailed folding sights. Silver inlaid decorative scrolls on the breech and the base of the barrel with the signature "Georg Keiser in Wienn". Tang engraved with the number "1". The lock bears finely engraved rocaille decoration. The action block cover is a replacement. Gold bushed vent. Beautifully figured, lightly carved walnut full stock. Small repair on the forearm.
