A new road, named Kings Drive, 100 feetwide, now continues Quay Street in a straight line tothe cliff at Campbells Point. Tn the course of thework connected with this scheme, the old locomotivesheds were removed to an adjacent locality. Another improvement was carried out in conjunc-tion with the Railway Department ; Mechanics Road, anaiiow tortuous street, being convei-ted into a boldcurved roadway, 100 feet wide, and renamed the
