B Company, with half A Companyin support, shook out to attack. Theenemy was located in a loopholed houseon the West side of the road (see SketchB), and also in the near fields. On theother side of the road a farmhouse hadcaught fire and blazed furiously. TheCommanding Officer, Captain Wise,and Lieutenant Mosely succeeded inapproaching to within fifty yards ofthis house, creeping along a ditch fol-lowed by their men.
