Materials.—Ten ounces of double Berlin wool, fourskeins of a medium-sized gold twist. Although winter has not yet set in, and al-though we do not require very warm and thickclothing, yet to prepare for the coming seasonis necessary, so we give our readers a patternof a crochet Zouave jacket, as a commencementto many other novelties, hoth in knitting andcrochet, which we hope to present to them. The jacket is made of double Berlin wool,which is superior to the cheaper fleecy wool,as it does not become rough by constant jacket is worked backwards and forwardsin ribbed rows in double crochet, and has a rowof gold twist crocheted all round it as a trim-ming. A crochet lace is put round the goldtwist, and the jacket is fastened in front withgold and black buttons.
