ToelichtingHet City class ironclad Baron de Kalb made from 1861 to 1863, when it was brought by a mine (torpedo) sunk in the Yazoo River, part of the Western Gunboat Flotilla. The ship originally named St. Louis, but in 1862 was named Baron de Kalb.
