Fre-montreached Spring-field in Oc-to-ber, and was preparing to attack the enemy, whenhe was removed from his command, No-vem-ber 2. General Hun-ter tookhis place; and the Ln-ion Army, instead of fighting, fell back to St. I^ouis,General Price following.
