Richly etched with jumping deer and scrolling leaves on a gilt base. The fullered back also etched with gilt scrolling leaves. Richly profiled quillons of gilt brass with rain chape. The ivory grip profusely carved with figures in the style of Michael Maucher. The obverse depicting a man in mortal combat with a lion, underneath dogs fighting with stags.
