Bonnet macaque (Macaca radiata) displaying its canines. This monkey is so named because of the bonnet-shaped patch of hair on its head. It reaches a body length of between 35 and 60 centimetres. It eats ripe fruits, leaves and insects, and lives in groups in evergreen and deciduous forests. Photographed in Periyar National Park, Kerala, southern India.
