The design resembled thecarved figures of birds often seen on the Jain architecture here being Hindu, was much moremassive than the Mogul work hitherto seen, andshowed much variety and invention in the carvedcorbels and brackets in the interior. I made a noteof a peacock bracket in which the tail is effectivelytreated, the bird being considerably formalised inadapting it to its architectural purpose. There wasanother
