View WNW of an unfinished granite millstone in an area of small-scale quarrying on the West Side path just N of Threequarter Wall, Lundy Island, Devon, UK. The Lundy Granite Company was established in 1863 & several test quarries were started before the main quarry on East Sideland was begun in 1864. The quarry men also attempted to cut granite millstones but without success. The stone lies in a small hollow with broken fragments & boulders scattered about.
