Secondary liver cancer surgery. Surgeons carrying out laparoscopic surgery for secondary liver cancer. The cancer has spread from a primary carcinoma of the colon. The malignant (cancerous) tumours will be located and affected areas of the liver removed. This is keyhole, or minimally invasive, surgery and is directed using a laparascope, a type of endoscope that is inserted through a small incision into the patient's abdomen.
