Their success is thoroughly deserved, for they have devoted them-selves with unwearied patience to their Bastard contributed some beau-tiful objects made of mother-of-pearl andsome in which this is used in conjunctionwith horn. His fans are singularly deli-cate and refined in design and workman-ship. He also showed some combs ofpleasing design; and those by HenriHamm were also remarkable for their•effects of colour and design. Some ex-cellent silver clasps were exhibited byAnnie Hystak, a native ot Briinn, whonow resides in tributed to the exhibition calls for briefnotice. Two of them are already knownto the readers of The Studio. DusanJurkovic exhibited mahogany dining-roomfurniture, electric pendants, and otherobjects. Some of his designs were verybeautiful, and showed much thought andknowledge gained from real study of theold art of his country. Emil Pirchanis a native of Briinn and studied inVienna under Professor Wagner. Hiswork shows constructive power, and thefurniture he has designed is harmonious,practical and serviceable. The thirdarchitect, G. Czermak, is also a native of hammered copper vases which he contributed were admirable in design,while his interiors, agirls bedroom and studio,show sympathy with themodern movement in de-sign and exhibition as a wholewas eminently satisfactory,and reflected much crediton Dr. Leisching.
