Designed by award-winning architect Rafael Vinoly Leicester's new theatre Curve is unique having no traditional backstage area,the two auditoria face each other and all spaces inside the theatre are design offers considerable flexibility and both intimate theatre and public events can be staged; these can be enclosed or opened for all inside and outside the theatre to see. It is one of the most technologically advanced theatres in the country. The theatre fronts on to Joe Orton Square named after Leicester's famous playwright.
