In summing up, there are several points I wish to bring out. In looking over the distribution of studies, you will see that any one of the three groups would fit a student as a teacher in Agronomy. And with some extra training he could spe- cialize in any other group if required. Another point I wish to bring out is that a specialist in any one of the groups has sufficient foundation for advanced work in that group. I should also like to em- phasize the fact that a student should take special work in one of the sciences in pre- paring himself for this work. For in- stance, students: specializing in crops and breeding would take more botany than is required and in .soils more chemistry than is required.
