When small they make most charuiing pot plants, tbe varied colors and patterns of tbe leaves making them highly atti active. As they get larger they may be planted permanently on the lawn, as they are hardy, where they will 'make most beautiful objects. The leaves of the various sorts range in color from dark crimson to pink, green, white, etc., many being beautifully varie- gated and mottled.
