The leaves develop after the showy salmon-rose flowers which appear from September to November. The long pro- truding stamens add considerable interest. Produces its lovely, large, star-shaped blooms in February and March, carrying 4 to 6 slightly fragrant, light blue flowers with white markings in the center on strong, wiry, 12 inch stems. The blooms last for 3 to 4 weeks.
