Vishnu as Vamana accepting water from Bali as token of a gift. Bali sits against a striped bolster pillow on a canopied chair wearing an orange tunic, strands of jewels and a crown while an attendant, dressed in pink, stands on his left fanning him. Bali pours the water from a golden spouted vessel into the blue dwarf Vishnu's hand. Flat green ground; hazy blue at top and bottom, representing sky and water, respectively. Outlined in black and framed by plain beige border; page cut before mounted into album. Ink, opaque watercolor and gold on paper. Album bound in blue-green leather and stamped with Sloane's gilded armorial on front and back cover.
