The Sage Gateshead is a modern building designed by Foster and Partners for the performance of live music. It is home to the Northern Sinfonia Orchestra and includes two auditoria, a rehearsal space, a Music Education Centre and various bars, a cafe and restaurant. The complex is enclosed by a stainless steel roof and its distinctive shape echoes the curves of the Millenium and the Tyne Bridges. It affords fabulous views across the Tyne River.
