Dubrovnik, Croatia. Nov 10,2024: The cruise ship NIEUW STATENDAM arrives in the famous Mediterranean port of Dubrovnik. Operated by Holland America Line (HAL), a division of Carnival Cruises Corporation, the 300-meter-long/100,000 GT cruise ship is the largest passenger vessel to call at the Dalmatian port this autumn. Historically known as Ragusa, its medieval architecture & fortified old town make the Pearl of the Adriatic a popular touristic destination but also the most overcrowded city in Europe with 27 tourists per one inhabitant during summer season.
