The grand lobbyhas walls of yellow Kasota stone, with architraves and 7 footbases of brown Tennessee marble. The general waiting room is finished in buff terra cotta, withceiling and floor schemes in keeping with the grand lobby. 316 The Railway Library The smoking and lunch rooms are finished in Vermont marble,Pavanazzo walls and verde antique base. The womens quartersare in Pavanazzo. The restaurant is finished in Skyros pink marble,and all have decorated ceilings, many of the panels being handpainted. The booths are finished in silver wood and walnut. Thewhole effect gives the visitor an impression of beautifully blendeddetail.
