The RMS Queen Mary that began carrying passengers in 1936 as transatlantic ocean liner is now permanently docked as a floating hotel in the harbor at Long Beach in Southern California, USA. The legendary ship made 1,000 crossings of the North Atlantic before being retired to Long Beach in 1967. Today's hotel guests have a choice of the luxury liner's original 355 first-class staterooms and suites, as well as its restaurants and bars.
