Inside the Byzantine cistern of Southeast Turkey's Dara Ancient City


This cistern was built with the capacity to hold over 1500 m3 of water, and it most likely served the nearby necropolis area. Archaeologists discovered it full of landfill and had to painstakingly clear it out before opening it up for tourists. Learn more here:
