The Krankies pictured eating candyfloss on the Central Pier in Blackpool. The veteran comedians and entertainers were promoting their forthcoming show entitled the Best of British Variety Tour 2008, which also featured Frank Carson, Cannon & Ball, Paul Daniels, Brotherhood of Man and Jimmy Cricket. The duo comprised husband and wife Janette and Ian Tough and as the Krankies they portrayed schoolboy Wee Jimmy Krankie (Janette), and Jimmy's father (Ian), though in their comedy act they also portray other characters.
