Mrs. Fryback wastaken to Pickaway County by her parents wheneleven years of age. Both wife and husbandare now deceased. Of their family of twelvechildren, Mrs. Hanson was the youngest, andbesides herself, only a sister and brother sur-vive. The religious belief ofMr. Hanson is that taught by the MethodistChurch. Fraternally, he is afflliated with theI. O. O. K., which he joined in 1855. Politically,he is a Republican. He served as deputy of thetrial court, and as clerk for a few years, atChillicothe, Ohio, as Justice of the Peace andSupervisor in New Salem and Mound Town-ships and as Scht)ol Trustee. He representedMcDonough County in the State Legislature inlS(iG, being a member of the committees onCanal and Canal Lands and Township Organiza-tion. He also did his utmost to locate theIniversity of Illinois at Champaign. For manyyears Mr. Hanson has been one of the mostconspicuous and useful citizens of McDonoughCounty and his record is beyond reproach
