Edzna, Mexico, 13 December 2019, the Edzna Archaeological Zone is seen at sunset. Edzna is an ancient Maya site. The site is named Edzna after a group of mayas, called Itz‡s who inhabited the site. Sites such as these will see a dramatic increase in visitor numbers if the proposed Maya Train goes ahead. The train route passes over more than 1700 known sites of archaeological significance in Mexico. Credit: Lexie Harrison-Cripps
