An old 1890 engraving of the market place Boston, Licolnshire, England with Boston Stump (St Botolph's parish church tower) and the Angel Inn in the centre. The tower (266 feet 9 inches ( m) tall) has served as a landmark from land and sea for centuries and is one of the tallest medieval towers in the country. Saint Botolph, also known as Botwulf of Thorney, Botulph & Botulf; (died circa 680) and was an English abbot and patron saint of boundaries, borders, trade travel and farming activities.
