Masks of classic and modern times: 'Masks are used in connection with dances. In one of these described in Mr. Rockhill's work on the Ethnology of Tibet, there were about thirty dancers, half of them men and half women. The second part of the dance was performed by four or five men, with winged rain bow-colored caps, who jumped and twisted about to the clashing of cymbals and the beating of drums' (1906).
