A North Indian miniature, 18th century. Gouache on paper. Angel on horseback accompanied by another angel and a deity carrying a war-club (Gurz). The body of the horse composed of several figures and animals. Double bordure of floral and animal motives. Framed, under glass and passepartout. Frame dimensions 46 x cm. Images of composed animals are known in several late, Indian paintings. Cf.
