The Legs were Ihort, and covered with long Feathers,fcarce half an Inch remaining bare; that and the Feetcovered with hard, dusky, yellow Scales; the Talons longand black. It is a Bird of great Strength and Valour,and continually feeking to deftroy Hares, delighting intheir Flefh rather than that of Birds.
