I have before me a complete list ofthe various classes of employes in the service of theLondon and North-Western Railway Company, andI find that the number of different kinds of employ-ment amounts to no less than 801. In the TrafficDepartment there are 135 classes, including suchunexpected denominations as book-carriers, branders, bullockmen, chain-boys, * de-liverers, hookers-on, iron-counters, rope-shippers, slippers, tariffmen, and winch-.
