And from the E. point to the fouthward, theland is even and declines downwards, but betwixt the Eaftpoint and the N. point, the land is uneven, ragged and length 30 fin^/ift miles, and 12 miles broad,having 00 the E fide thereof levera! points of land lying into the fca, with rocks lying off mod: of them, the land appearinggreen and pleafint on that fide. The SW. point thereof makes a bay called Carlip bay,wherein you may anchor in what depth of water you pleafe,in 12 15, 20, or jofach. but the nearer in theworft road is all over rocky and foul ground, therefore thofethat anchor there muft have a fpccial care
