This fact has been recognized in recent years, andin consequence special classes for cripples have been opened inpublic and private day schools and in many residential of the problems which must be solved in the educationof crippled children are produced by the fact that both curable andincurable crippled children are usually taught in the same specialclasses. A large proportion of crippled children can be cured or sofar helped that in the course of time they will be able to re-enterregular classes in the public schools.
