Wall painting in a swiss mountain village In the painting the walker is askiing the direction from a lady leaning out of a non existant window The way indicated is in fact an old muleteers path into the mountains and a long established mountain way The paving slabs which add 3 diemsions to the picture cleverly disappear into the real wall and the shadow of the walker is slightly earlier in the morning than the shadows when the photo was taken In the background vineyards belonging to the village
