Sural or Surla Falls, known by its Konkani name Ladkyacho Vozar, meaning “Falls of the Beloved”, seen from the viewpoint on Chorla Ghat during Monsoon

Hiding in remote corners of the Western Ghats are several photogenic waterfalls - some massive in scale and some smaller which come alive only during monsoon season. One such picturesque waterfall is the Sural Falls. Named after the village Sural, it is at the perfect junction of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa border. Even though geographically located in Goa, the Sural Falls is known as 'Venezuela of Karnataka' by the people of that state. Nested amongst the greenery of the Western Ghats, this 300 feet waterfall looks scaled-down from distance.
