The plants then being one year old, shouldbe removed to the prepared beds, and placed three feet apart each way. Do not cut until the second year, andapply a dressing of manure every fall. The most expeditious mode of obtaining a supply is to procure rootswhich will produce the first season. The roots will last many years if manured every fall.
