Below the plan are depicted various buildings and monuments of Rome, including St. Peter's Square at left and Santa Maria Maggiore at right. Benedetti's original title is retained on the base of Trajan's Column at bottom center: La topografia di Roma di Giobatt[ist]a Nol[l]i dalla maggiore in questa minor tauola dal medesimo ridot[t]a da Ignazio Benedetti incisa. A new title and Monaldini's address have replaced Benedetti's longer dedication to Cardinal Gio. Carlo Boschi in a cartouche at upper left, just below Boschi's coat of arms. A table keyed to the plan contains 174 names of buildings and sites, four more than in Nolli's original version. Oriented with north at top. Relief conveyed pictorially. Getty copy hinged onto heavy stock at upper edge and matted. Small hole repaired towards upper right corner.
