Grant Kintigh, of Irwin, Pa., said he was looking forward to a most suc- cessful holiday trade. W. W. Bortz, of Greensburg, Pa., had a display of attractive baskets filled witli artificial flowers, and these seemed to meet with a ready sale. T. Malbranc, of Johnstown, Pa., had a showing of jioinsettias of more than usual merit. The shortage of cars made it neces- sary for Myer Bros., of Altoona, Pa., to ])urcliase a motor truck to liaul coal fi'om the mine to tlieir greenliouses. W. H. Brouse, of Tyrone, I'a., has sold his greenliouses to Prank Luce, of Bell- wood, Pa. The houses are being torn down and moved to the Luce ])lace. Adol{)h Engehnan, of Tyrone, re- ports a most successful season, with a large, well paving crop of mums. W. T. r. SEWICKLEY, PA. Tlie regular meeting of the Sewickley Horticultural Societv was held Decem- ber 12 in the Odd Fellows' hall, Broad street, Sewickley, Vicc-presidnt R. Boxel presiding. The secretary reported attending a meeting of the Ladies' Gar- den Club committee and gave an ac- count of some new classes added to the schedule for the big June flower show. M. Curran resigned his office of secre- tary. The new ofl^ce-bearers for 1917 were elected as follows: President, John Barnet;
