A double-barrelled percussion officer's pistol, Moulard-Dufour, St. Etienne, circa 1830. Twist Damascus steel barrels with smooth bores in 18 mm calibre. Muzzles and breech have gold inlaid decoration. The sighting flat is inscribed, "Canon a Rubans". Converted locks with colour case hardened lock plates. Cocks and lock plates are lightly engraved, gold inlaid signature, "Moulard Dufour à St. Etienne". Beautifully figured walnut stock. The grips have fine checkering.
