Prominent among his sons are Prince of Albion, sold for ^15,000; his full brother, Prince of Kyle, sold for $8000; Prince Alexander, sold for $6000 as a yearling ; and Prince Robert. Dartiley (222), foaled in 1872, a bay, was bred by Sir William Sterling-Maxwell and was purchased when three years old by David Riddell, the owner of Prince of Wales. His sire was Conqueror (199); and his dam, Keir Peggy (187), had a fine.
