A nomad boy rides his horse past a relocation village built on the edge of the small village of Tangkor on the Aba grasslands in western Sichuan. Traditionally nomadic, Tangkor is on a fast train into the future, rebuilt to accommodate a growing government presence and huge nomadic population who are being pressured to give up their traditional lifestyles for the city. It is rumoured that Beijing has other plans for the great grasslands of eastern Tibet including large scale cotton and barley farms.
