Expressively carved inlow and high relief in clouded red amber,translucent and brilliantly polished. Length, 3 inches. 35—Seventeenth (enttry Brown Amber Ornament Translucent, turning to brilliant yellowsagainst the light, and smoothly in form of a robust man with full,contented face, seated and holding a smalljar with swinging handle over liis knees,wearing on his back as cloak and head-covering in one the pelt of a spotted stag—emblem of longevity—with antlers andhoofs included as ornaments.
