For some timeworkmen have been engaged in remodell-ing the structure to suit the requirementsof the new owners, and the store fixturesare now being installed. The ground floor is fitted with whitepainted steel walls and ceiling, and mod-ern electric light fixtures. One side ofthe salesroom (which is 50 feet long by40 feet wide) is occupied by a glassfronted wall showcase, and the otherside is fitted with a wall case for abouthalf the length, and with shelves forthe remaining portion. Nine large sil-ent salesmen showcases occupy placeson the floor at the sides and centre. Allthese cases are made of solid walnut, andare very handsome. In them will bedisplayed silverware, cut glass andfancy goods, the entire floor being de-voted to this branch of the trade. The two large show windows at
