Traditionally the leaf covered Jack, is released from the Fisherman's Museum in a grand parade through Hastings Old Town, accompanied by traditional characters in elaborate green costumes, sweeps, morris dancers , giants and drummers, winding it's way up to West Hill, where it is symbolically slain and the Spirit of Summer is released for another year.
