Inaddition to the beauty of Glen Erriff, the stream is good for anglers. Thecharm of this route to Westport consists, chiefly in the first part of it, the Glento Erriff bridge, and the last, on approaching and descending into Westport; theintermediate portion being moorland, which, however, affords the sportsmanplenty of hare and grouse. A description of one peculiarly serene evening onthis route embodies the effect produced on all lovers of nature by the settino-of the sun in this region.
